Interpréter le Psaume 23 (22): sens littéral, sens historique

Françoise Vinel
p. 337-352

Abstracts

Diodorus of Tarsus shoves Psalm 22 among the psalms dealing with the Exile and reads into it the “prosperity” recovered in Jerusalem. This kind of historical exegesis does not seem to leave much room for a Christian interpretation. Meanwhile Theodoret of Cyrus is mostly concerned with the liturgical use of the psalm, when a more historical interpretation would be expected under the influence of Diodorus. Therefore, to outline a somehow homogenous tradition of literal exegetical seems far fetched.
